What's a Wind Farm?

It is a collection of windmills (turbines) used to generate electrical power. They are pushed by the wind. Both Europe and the United States have many wind farms, and this technology is also found on many other continents.  The energy generated by a wind farm becomes general energy after using some transformers.

Wind farms are really popular in countries which are developing alternative and renewable energy. Other types of renewable energy can be: wave power and solar arrays. All of them take advantage of some existing energy, converting it into a usable form. As a wind farm generates power, it is considered a form of green energy.

Of course, some resources must be used to create a wind farm. The turbines, transformers, and grid system are often made from substances like metals. However, when it is installed, a wind farm doesn’t need any extra energy, just the basic maintenance. This is a strong contrast, for example, to a power plant which uses coal or petroleum products.

We know that the best place for a wind farm is a windy location.  In some cases, the wind farm may use an animal farm, for example.

It is true that they take up a lot more space than some non-renewable energies. Wind farms are a threat to migratory birds, a fact criticized by many scientists. but it is still a very clean and sustainable form of energy.
